PHIL HOWARD X JACKSON BOXER

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24TH

Enjoy a brilliant interplay of dishes from Phil Howard and one of London's most groundbreaking chefs.

Jackson Boxer is seemingly indefatigable. You may know him from the epically beautiful dining room at Brunswick House, or from the cooly elegant fish restaurant Orasay in Notting Hill, his French bistro Henri, or from his work with Cowley Manor and Selfridges. Alternatively, you may have heard his name but not experienced his food.

But it's his food that is the most exciting thing about him. He comes from a foodie dynasty - his grandmother was the great cookery writer Arabella Boxer, his godfather is the enormously talented chef Jeremy Lee and he honed his cheffing skills working for the wonderful Margo Henderson at St John.

British food with a French elegance is in his blood, as is the emphasis on the dining experience. His bohemian, artistic upbringing revolved around gatherings with family and friends and that same sense of style and conviviality imbues his restaurants. However, it's the beautiful simplicity of his ingredient-led dishes which shines on any Boxer menu.

The purpose of our autumn series of collaborations is for a joyful interplay of Phil's cooking with that of chefs he admires. With Jackson you can see how Phil's approach dovetails remarkably with the cooking of someone whose style epitomises contemporary London food.

It's going to be a brilliant chance to enjoy everything that's good about the London restaurant scene today. Do check out the menu below and click to book for this very special night.
