JOIN US FOR AN EXCLUSIVE WINE TASTING DINNER AT ELYSTAN STREET
After the success of our inaugural wine dinner we’re pleased to announce our next event – a chance to try some very exciting Riojas.
Rioja is a region that’s attracting a lot of attention these days, with calls to have the separate terroirs of this vast wine region recognised in the same way as those for Burgundies.
Traditionally Riojas have been blended by large bodegas to produce the classic strawberry and vanilla style, but a new generation of boutique growers are focusing on terroir to produce wines with more fruit intensity and complexity.
Miguel Angel de Gregorio at Finca Allende is at the forefront of this Rioja revolution and we’ll be tasting some of his star wines – from his Rioja Blanco (hailed by Jancis Robinson as ‘exceptional’) to the much lauded Calvario 2005 (95 points Robert Parker).
The dinner will feature some amazing Spanish produce and the menu has been specifically designed to showcase these exceptional wines. It will be held in our private dining room which can accommodate up to 12 people, so places are limited and need to be booked in advance – to reserve your place please call us on 020 7628 5005.
