PHIL HOWARD X THOMAS STRAKER
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH
Chef Tom opened his own first restaurant, Straker’s in Notting Hill, in January 2022 to resounding instant success. He brought his passions for the countryside and cooking over fire to his inventive, modern British menu, and, along with his very high-profile presence on social media platforms, he has become a significant player in the London foodie marketplace.
His professional journey began at Ballymaloe Cookery School, and was followed by three years at The Dorchester, then briefly at Dinner by Heston, at the pop-up New Toms (owned by Tom Conran), and also The Cow in Notting Hill. He was then at Santa Cruz in Notting Hill as executive chef, followed by Elystan Street with Phil Howard, and he then worked as a private chef for two years, both in the UK and abroad.
